Easy Coconut Chutney Recipe

 

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup coconut, grated
  2. 2 small onion, chopped
  3. 1 green chili, chopped
  4. 1/4 teaspoon mustard seed
  5. 1/4 teaspoon urad dal (Split Black Gram)
  6. 2 tablespoon roasted spit gram
  7. 1 dried red chilies
  8. 4 curry leaves
  9. 2 teaspoon oil
  10. water as required
  11. salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixer jar, take grated coconut, onions, green chili, roasted split gram, salt, and 1/4 cup water and blend it to a smooth paste.
  2. Transfer the chutney into a serving bowl. Heat oil a saucepan and add mustard seeds, split black gram (urad dal), dry red chili, and curry leaves.
  3. Roast until brown and pour this tempering over the coconut chutney.
  4. Serve coconut chutney with steamed rice, idli, idli sambar, dosa, donuts, or vada.
