Soya Keema Recipe | Minced Soybean Recipe
Soya Chunks are a vegetarian snack that consists of high protein, polyunsaturated fats, calcium, iron, and omega 3 fatty acids. They are made of soy flour and contains protein equal to that of eggs, milk, and meat. Find below its ingredients and recipe.
Ingredients
- 200 grams soya chunks
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 1 medium-size tomato pureed
- 1/2 cup capsicum (optional)
- 2 small size potatoes
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon kitchen king masala or chicken masala
- 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- 1/2teaspoon kasuri methi
- salt as required
- 2 cup of water
Instructions
- Wash soya chunks in water and soak them in hot water for 20 minutes. Then grind it to form mince.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds.
- Add onions and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Next, add ginger garlic paste and saute till the rawness disappears.
- Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, and cook for 2 more minutes.
- Next, add tomato puree and mix well. Now add potatoes, capsicum, and stir well till everything blends well.
- Add soya keema and mix it well. Add coriander powder, salt, garam masala, kitchen king masala or chicken masala and mix well.
- Add water and combine it thoroughly.
- Close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook till two whistles.
- Once ready turn off the flame and allow pressure to release.
- Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves.
- Veg Soya Keema is ready. Serve hot with salad, chapati, or rice.
