Savory Aloo Bhujia Recipe | Crunchy Potato Snack

 

 

Aloo bhujia contains gram flour (Besan or Chickpea flour) that has higher protein, complex carbohydrates, a low glycemic index, and more healthy fat than whole wheat flour. Chickpea flour is also good for diabetics and gluten intolerant people. This snack is also found in pre-packaged bags at shops and grocery stores. But its always to make them at home if you are making it for kids. Let’s know its ingredients and recipe.

 

Ingredients

  1. 1 large boiled potato
  2. 2 cup chickpea  flour
  3. 1/2 cup rice flour
  4. 1-2 tablespoon oil
  5. 1 tablespoon red chili powder
  6. 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  7. 1 teaspoon garam masala
  8. 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  9. 1 teaspoon amchur powder
  10. 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  11. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Grate boiled potato in a bowl.
  2. Add chickpea flour, rice flour, red chili powder, black pepper powder, garam masala, chaat masala, amchur powder, cumin powder, and 1 tablespoon oil and mix well.
  3. Mix thoroughly then knead it to a dough.
  4. The dough shouldn’t be too sticky or too hard.
  5. It should be flexible and stretchy.
  6. Now heat oil for frying aloo bhujia.
  7. Meanwhile, fill bhujia dough in sev making machine.
  8. In the hot oil, press, and move circular the sev maker to make sev.
  9. Fry on both sides until golden and crisp.
  10. Take out on a tissue paper to remove excess oil.
  11. Repeat the same with the remaining dough and make it in batches.
  12. Aloo bhujia is ready, serve it with tea or coffee and store the leftover in an airtight container.
