A Healthy Dessert – Kulfi Recipe
Kulfi is relished by kids and adults mostly enjoyed in summer to beat the scorching heat of summer. Kulfi is just like a popsicle ice cream denser and creamier in texture made with condensed milk or by evaporating milk and sugar until it gets creamier.
The mixture is added with appetizing tastes of saffron, cardamom, nutmeg, and dry fruits. Then this kulfi mixture is set into molds and frozen for 6-8 hours.
Ingredients
- 500 ml of vegan almond milk
- 1/2 cup almonds, chopped
- 1/2 cup cashews, chopped
- 2 tablespoons of organic brown sugar – vegan
- 1/2 cup pistachios, chopped
- 1/2 cup soaked dates, chopped
- a pinch of saffron
- 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
Instructions
- Heat a nonstick pan on low flame and add the almond milk to it.
- Add vegan brown sugar, saffron strands, and cook for 10 minutes on low flame while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Once the mixture thickens, turn off the flame and add the pistachios, dates, cashews, almonds, and mix well.
- Let the mixture cool and then pour the mixture into kulfi molds.
- Freeze it for at least 6 hours, then serve chill.
- Vegan healthy dessert kulfi is ready to serve to the family after dinner.
