Oatmeal Kheer – Porridge Pudding Recipe
Oatmeal is a nutritious meal that is loaded with antioxidants, essential vitamins, minerals, fiber, manganese, selenium, iron, copper, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, etc., are essential for the growth and development of a healthy body.
Eating a half-cup of oatmeal in breakfast or lunch, can lower the bad cholesterol levels and protect LDL cholesterol from potential loss. Oatmeal promotes proper blood circulation in the body and aid in weight loss.
Ingredients
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 1/2 cup jaggery
- 1/2 cup soaked dates, finely chopped
- 1 cup almond milk or regular milk
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg powder
- 1 tablespoon purified ghee
- 1 tablespoon raisins
- 2 tablespoon cashew
- 2 tablespoon almond
- water as required
Instructions
- In a non-stick pan, heat 1/2 tablespoon purified ghee and roast all nuts and keep it aside.
- In the same pan, heat remaining ghee and roast oatmeal until aromatic while stirring continuously.
- Add almond milk and bring it to a boil.
- Once consistency thickens add dates and again cook for 2 minutes.
- Add water if the mixture dries out.
- Next, add roasted nuts, nutmeg powder, and cardamom powder to it and serve hot.
