Ingredients
- 200 g Noodles
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 1 red chili, chopped
- a handful of spring onions
- 1 teaspoon garlic paste
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup carrots, chopped
- 1 cup bell pepper (red, yellow), chopped
- 1/2 cup cabbage, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, chopped
- vegetable stock or water as required
- 1 teaspoon whole wheat flour paste (mixed in water)
- 3 tablespoons tomato ketchup
- 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon red chili sauce
- salt to taste
Preparation Time: 5 Minutes
Cooking Time: 25 Minutes
Serves: 4 people
American Chopsuey Recipe
- First noodles well in oil till they become brown and crispy. Then take them out on a plate and keep them aside.
- Now heat the oil in a pan. Add red chili, onion,s, and garlic paste and stir for a minute. Now add all veggies and cook them until soft.
- Add the seasonings and sauce and mix well.
- Next, turn the flame high and add vegetable stock or water and bring it to a boil.
- Add wheat flour paste to the mixture and cook till it becomes thick.
- Serve hot in a soup bowl with fried noodles, spring onions, and veggies on top.
