Paneer Bhurji Ingredients
- 100 grams of cottage cheese (paneer)
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 small sized onion
- 1/2 chopped capsicum
- 2 small sized chopped tomatoes (not ripe and not too sour)
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 green chili optional
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon kitchen king masala
- 1-2 tablespoon milk powder
- 1 cup of water
- salt as required
- 3 tablespoons chopped cilantro
Paneer Bhurji Recipe
- Mash all the paneer (cottage cheese) in a bowl and keep it aside. Heat oil in a nonstick pan.
- Add chopped onions and saute them till translucent.
- Now add ginger-garlic paste and cook for two minutes until the rawness of ginger-garlic disappears.
- Add tomatoes and green chili (optional) and mix well.
- Add salt and cook tomatoes on medium flame until soft, stir continuously.
- Now add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and stir well.
- Add capsicum, mix well, and cook for two more minutes.
- Then, add water and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Add garam masala powder, roasted cumin powder, and kitchen king masala and mix well.
- Then, add the crumbled paneer and cook for two minutes.
- Add milk powder and stir well. Lastly, add the chopped cilantro leaves and mix everything well.
- Paneer Bhurji is ready to serve.
- Serve it with naan, bread, roti or bread with thinly sliced onions and spicy tomato chutney or dip.
