Stuffed Bhindi Recipe – Stuffed Okra

Stuffed Bhindi/okra, also known as bhindi masala is an Indian cuisine made with a filling of bhindi/okra. Different spices are used to prepare it’s filling. Ingredients

 

  1. Okra/Bhindi- 500gram
  2. Ginger paste- 1 teaspoon
  3. Red chili powder- 1 teaspoon
  4. Coriander powder- 1 teaspoon
  5. Dry mango powder- 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Garam Masala- 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Chopped tomatoes- 2 nos
  8. Asafoetida- a pinch
  9. Fennel Powder- 1 teaspoon
  10. mustard seeds- 1/2 teaspoon
  11. onion seeds- 1/2 teaspoon
  12. Lemon juice- 1 teaspoon
  13. Oil- 3 tablespoon
  14. a salt according to taste

 

Stuffed Bhindi Recipe

 

  1. Wash bhindi/okra and wipe them dry.
  2. Cut the tip head of okra.
  3. Now slit in the middle of all okra into two halves in equal length.
  4. Take a pan to add 1 tablespoon oil and heat it on medium flame.
  5. Shallow fry all the okra till they become soft and take them out on a plate.
  6. In the same pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds, asafoetida.
  7. Now Cook tomatoes for 2 minutes on medium flame.
  8. Add all the dry spices and mix well.
  9. Finally, add okra and mix all the spices into okra.
  10. Close the lid and let it cook on a slow flame for 3-4 minutes.
  11. Stuffed Bhindi/okra is ready.
  12. Remove them to a serving plate and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
