Ingredients

  • 1 cup chickpea flour
  • 1/2 cup Bengal gram dal
  • 1/2 cup black gram dal
  • 1 finely chopped red onion
  • 1 finely chopped tomato
  • 1/2 cup of mushrooms sauteed
  • 1/2 cup of bell peppers sauteed
  • a handful of freshly chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 teaspoon green chili paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • salt to taste
  • water as required
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Instructions

  • Wash and soak and blend 1/2 cup Bengal gram dal 1/2 cup black gram dal In a bowl for 2 hours.
  • In a blender add both dal and blend it to form a fine puree.
  • Take another bowl and add pureed dal, finely chopped red onion, finely chopped tomato, a handful of freshly chopped coriander leaves, green chili paste, turmeric powder, garam masala, ginger garlic paste, sauteed mushrooms, and bell peppers, salt, and mix well.
  • Now add chickpea flour to adjust omelet-like the consistency of the dal batter. You can also add water as required. Add baking powder and mix well.
  • In a frying pan heat 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter and our the veg omelet batter in it.
  • Cook on both sides for 1 minute and serve hot with multi-grain bread. Healthy and Delicious Veg Omelet is ready to enjoy.
