Easy Chicken Biryani Recipe
Marinate the chicken pieces with dry spices and lemon juice and keep it aside.
Wash and soak basmati rice for half an hour in two cups of water.
Drain the water. Add water, salt, and one tablespoon ghee in a big vessel.
Add the soaked rice to it and bring it to a boil.
Let the basmati rice cook.
In a round bottom pan, heat ghee/oil and add sliced onions, cumin seeds, cloves, black cardamom, onion, salt, turmeric, and saute it.
Add ginger-garlic paste and saute onions.
Pour tomato puree and almond cashew nuts paste into the pan and let everything cook till you see oil separating.
Add chicken pieces and slowly cook everything on a slow flame with a lid closed.
Check if the chicken is cooked by puncturing a fork in it.
The chicken will take 20 minutes to cook.
Once the chicken is ready to add all the dry masala powder and mix well.
Now its time to add basmati rice
Add rice and cook for 10 minutes on a slow flame don't forget to close the lid.
Open the lid and garnish the top with caramelized onions, raisins, saffron, fried nuts, and fresh coriander leaves.
Chicken biryani is ready.
