Healthy Caprese Salad Recipe

This Caprese salad recipe is a healthful Italian salad, made with tomatoes, shrimp, and sweet basil, fresh mozzarella, seasoned with salt, basil garlic oil sauce, a drizzle of sweet balsamic glaze, and olive oil.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 2 medium-size tomato sliced
  • 1 cup small shrimps peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup basil garlic oil sauce adjust to taste
  • 1/2 cup sliced fresh mozzarella
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • n a bowl, add shrimp, garlic cloves, salt, olive oil, and lemon juice.
  • Let it rest for about 5 minutes.
  • Heat a nonstick grill pan and cook the shrimps for 2 minutes on both sides until pink.
  • Turn off the flame.
  • Now, in another large bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic, salt, and balsamic vinegar.
  • Combine in sliced fresh tomatoes, shrimp, and fresh mozzarella.
  • Healthy Caprese Salad is ready to serve. Serve it into a serving plate and drizzle with basil garlic oil sauce.
