Easy Veg Toast Sandwich Ingredients
- 4 medium boiled potatoes
- 2 small size chopped onion
- 1 medium-sized chopped tomato
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
- 1/3 cup frozen green peas
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 chopped green chili
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/4 teaspoon chat masala or amchur powder
- whole wheat bread slices
- Butter as needed
- Salt to taste
Easy Veg Toast Sandwich Recipe
- Heat the oil in a nonstick pan on medium flame.
- Add onion and saute them until light brown.
- Then add ginger paste and green chilies.
- Saute for one more minute.
- Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, and coriander powder, and red chili powder and mix well.
- Add frozen green peas and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Now add tomatoes and mix well.
- Add salt and cook tomatoes till soft.
- Then add mashed potato and spices are coated and remaining dry spices, garam masala, chat masala, roasted cumin powder, dried fenugreek leaves, and mix well.
- Cook for 5 minutes.
- Then turn off the flame.
- Mix well this potato stuffing and allow it to cool.
- Spread the butter on whole wheat bread slices and evenly spread the potato masala over it.
- You may also top it with cheese slice and sliced cucumber.
- Close the sandwich with another whole wheat bread slice.
- Then toast the sandwiches in the electric toaster, Tawa, or gas toaster.
- Toast till crispy surface.
- Veg toast sandwich is ready to serve. Serve hot with tomato ketchup and green chutney.
