Ingredients
- Basmati rice- 1cup
- water- 2cup
- sugar-3/4 cup
- ghee/oil- 1 tablespoon
- raisins, almond, – 1tablespoom each
- green cardamom- 2
- saffron- a pinch
- edible yellow food color- a pinch
Sweet Kesar Rice Recipe
- Clean and wash the rice.
- Soak rice for 15 minutes in water and strain it after 15 minutes.
- In a pan add ghee/oil, cardamon, and edible yellow color and mix it.
- Add 1 cup of water and stir.
- Bring it to boil then add rice.
- Add 1 cup of hot water, sugar, raisins, and saffron.
- Stir and cook on low flame and close the lid of the pan.
- Once the Kesar Rice has cooked you will get the aroma of Kesar and raisins.
- Take out in a serving plate and garnish with almonds and raisins.
