  1. Basmati rice- 1cup
  2. water- 2cup
  3. sugar-3/4 cup
  4. ghee/oil- 1 tablespoon
  5. raisins, almond, – 1tablespoom each
  6. green cardamom- 2
  7. saffron- a pinch
  8. edible yellow food color- a pinch

Sweet Kesar Rice Recipe

 

  1. Clean and wash the rice.
  2. Soak rice for 15 minutes in water and strain it after 15 minutes.
  3. In a pan add ghee/oil, cardamon, and edible yellow color and mix it.
  4. Add 1 cup of water and stir.
  5. Bring it to boil then add rice.
  6. Add 1 cup of hot water, sugar, raisins, and saffron.
  7. Stir and cook on low flame and close the lid of the pan.
  8. Once the Kesar Rice has cooked you will get the aroma of Kesar and raisins.
  9. Take out in a serving plate and garnish with almonds and raisins.
