Easy Veg Toast Sandwich Ingredients

  1. 4 medium boiled potatoes
  2. 2 small size chopped onion
  3. 1 medium-sized chopped tomato
  4. 1 tablespoon oil
  5. 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  6. 1/4 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
  7. 1/3 cup frozen green peas
  8. 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  9. 1 chopped green chili
  10. 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  11. 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  12. 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
  13. 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  14. 1/4 teaspoon chat masala or amchur powder
  15. whole wheat bread slices
  16. Butter as needed
  17. Salt to taste

 

 

Easy Veg Toast Sandwich Recipe

  1. Heat the oil in a nonstick pan on medium flame.
  2. Add onion and saute them until light brown.
  3. Then add ginger paste and green chilies.
  4. Saute for one more minute.
  5. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, and coriander powder, and red chili powder and mix well.
  6. Add frozen green peas and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Now add tomatoes and mix well.
  8. Add salt and cook tomatoes till soft.
  9. Then add mashed potato and spices are coated and remaining dry spices, garam masala, chat masala, roasted cumin powder, dried fenugreek leaves, and mix well.
  10. Cook for 5 minutes.
  11. Then turn off the flame.
  12. Mix well this potato stuffing and allow it to cool.
  13. Spread the butter on whole wheat bread slices and evenly spread the potato masala over it.
  14. You may also top it with cheese slice and sliced cucumber.
  15. Close the sandwich with another whole wheat bread slice.
  16. Then toast the sandwiches in the electric toaster, Tawa, or gas toaster.
  17. Toast till crispy surface.
  18. Veg toast sandwich is ready to serve. Serve hot with tomato ketchup and green chutney.
