Bread rolls are rolls covered with bread and stuffed with filling made with boiled potato, peas, cottage cheese, tofu, mixed veggies, mushrooms, meat, dry spices, etc. Bread rolls are either deep-fried, baked, or cooked in an air fryer. The outer shell of the bread rolls is crispy and the inner side is loaded with healthy filling.

The best thing about these bread rolls is that they are super easy and are made with fewer ingredients. Also, you can do a lot of variations with this recipe. Bread rolls go well with green chutney or ketchup. You can also freeze these bread rolls in a freezer for two months in a freezer if stored in an airtight container. So when you want to eat them, just take them out of the freezer and fry or bake them and enjoy it.

Ingredients for Bread Rolls Recipe

  1. 15 vegan bread slices
  2. 4 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
  3. 1 onion, finely chopped
  4. 1/2 cup cabbage, finely chopped
  5. 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  6. 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  7. 2 teaspoon coriander powder
  8. 2 tablespoon coriander leaves, finely chopped
  9. 2 tablespoon mint leaves, finely chopped
  10. 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  11. 1 teaspoon chaat masala powder
  12. 1/4 teaspoon roasted white sesame seeds
  13. 1/4 teaspoon roasted black sesame seeds
  14. 1 tablespoon butter or vegetable oil, for brushing bread rolls

  16. salt as per taste

Bread Rolls Recipe

  1. Heat one tablespoon oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, green chilies, chopped onions and stir-fry them until soft.
  2. Once the onions are cooked, add all the dry spices and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Net, add mashed-boiled potatoes, cabbage, coriander leaves, mint leaves, and mix everything well to form a uniform stuffing for the bread rolls.
  4. Now, take one slice of vegan bread ( you can use any bread ), remove its sides and dip it in water for a second and squeeze the water out by pressing the bread slice in between your palms.
  5. Place this bread slice on a plate and cover it with a clean wet cloth. You can also flatten a dry bread slice on a rolling board with the help of a rolling pin, and can also use it instead of a wet bread slice.
  6. Repeat the same for all bread slices. Once bread slices are ready, take on a bread slice and put the stuffing in the center, roll, and bring the edges of the bread together to form a roll.
  7. Seal the sides with the help of water.
  8. Take black and white sesame seeds in a plate and roll each bread roll over roasted black and white sesame seeds.
  9. Repeat for all the bread rolls. Once ready deep fry bread rolls in hot oil until golden and crisp.
  10. You can also bake them. Place all bread rolls on a baking tray and brush them with oil or butter.
  11. You can also bake these bread rolls in a preheated microwave or oven at 180 degrees celsius for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
  12. If you want to cook them in an air fryer, then preheat the air fryer at 180 degrees for 10 minutes and place the bread rolls in the air fryer basket and brush it with butter or oil. Bake it for 15 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
  13. Crisp and tasty stuffed bread rolls are ready to serve with chutney or ketchup.
