Diet Poha Chivda Recipe

 

Ingredients

  1. 500-gram thin flattened poha
  2. 2 green chilies, chopped
  3. 1/2 cup peanuts
  4. 1/4 cup almonds, whole
  5. 1/2 cup cashews, halved
  6. 1/4 cup split roasted gram
  7. 10-15 curry leaves
  8. 1/22 teaspoon mustard seeds
  9. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  10. 2 tablespoon powdered sugar
  11. 2 tablespoon oil
  12. 1/2 cup dry coconut, thinly sliced
  13. salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a wok, roast thin poha on a medium flame until they turn crunchy.
  2. Turn off the flame and keep them aside. In another nonstick pan, heat oil.
  3. Add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter.
  4. Add green chilies, curry leaves, dry coconut, split roasted gram and peanuts and cooked them until light brown.
  5. Next, add turmeric powder, salt, and mix it well.
  6. Now add, halved cashews, almonds, and roast for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Transfer this tadka to the wok containing roasted poha and mix thoroughly.
  8. Now, add powdered sugar and mix well while stirring continuously for 3 minutes, so that poha doest get burnt in the bottom.
  9. You can also add two roasted papads (papadum) to this poha mix to enhance its taste.
  10. Once poha is ready, serve it with tea or coffee.
  11. Store the leftover in an airtight container to keep it fresh for 15 days.
